Problems, with Paul

In “Problems, with Paul,” we examine how Paul helps the churches that he founded navigate problems – and explore how we can navigate the problems we have with Paul and his interpreters.

We meet for this Bible study every Sunday at 950a ET in-person and on Zoom.

Each week, we read one chapter of one of Paul’s letters. For more information, including the current chapter and the Zoom information, email colin.holtz@dhbc.org.

Thursday Night Young Adult Book Group

8p ET Thursdays. Young(ish) adults, mostly in our 20s and 30s, who meet on Zoom for fun and conversation. We are currently reading Were You There? Lenten Reflections on the Spirituals by Luke Powery. Email colin.holtz@dhbc.org for more information and the link.

There is no commitment to attend every single meeting or finish the reading each week. The book can be purchased all the usual places, or contact Colin for a copy if purchasing presents a financial hardship.

CPH Crafting Club

CPH Crafting Club! Working on a needlework, paperwork, or other crafting or art project? Not an expert and want a no-judgment zone to practice, or want to craft with a purpose? Join us! We just had our first meeting, and plan to meet roughly every month in the future.

Email colleen@dhbc.org for more info, dates, and the Zoom link if you want to join online.

First Sunday Community Time

On the first Sunday of each month, we gather outside on the playground after worship for light snacks, refreshments, and a chance to get to know each other better.

All are welcome at First Sunday Community Time picnics, whether it is your first time visiting or you are a longtime member.

If you would be willing to provide snacks for a future community time, please email colin.holtz@dhbc.org.

Thursday Night Book Group

The Thursday night group just started a new book discussion on the parables, and all are invited to join in.

The book is Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi by Amy-Jill Levine, and we have a couple copies at the church if you need one.

We are young(ish) adults who meet Thurs 7p ET to discuss one chapter/week. Text THURS or email colin.holtz@dhbc.org for more information and the Zoom link.

CPH Birthday Celebration!

Join us July 10 after service (~1215p ET) outside on the playground as we celebrate the church’s birthday with a picnic, food, and fellowship.

Lunch for People Experiencing Homelessness

  2. Help serve the food on-site at Druid Hills Presbyterian, where the meal takes place
  3. Donate to defray the cost of the main dishes our church provides.
