Already joined us for worship? Here are some ways you can deepen your connection:
1. Join a reading group or Bible study and make new friends while exploring your faith. The Liberation group (younger-ish adults) meets Thursday nights via Zoom. The “Problems, with Paul” Bible study meetings weekly Sunday mornings before service. We offer periodic, Zoom-based reading groups on a variety of topics. Email Pastor Colin at colin.holtz@dhbc.org or text GROUPS to 470-317-6435 for more information.
2. Run 4 Tacos. Looking for an easy way to get to know people? Join us at our monthly Run 4 Tacos. We run very slowly about 2 miles and then eat tacos together (and some of us just join for the food). Email colin.holtz@dbhc.org for details.
3. Join a team and help carry out the work of the church:
- The Hospitality Team: Create community! Help carry out the monthly community time potlucks and special parties.
- The Children’s Ministry Team: Care for our kiddos! Assist Pastor Colleen with the care and enrichment of our children.
- Local and Global Missions Team: Help make God’s dream for the world a reality! Volunteer to serve our local people experiencing homelessness, primarily through providing dishes for, or helping serving at, the weekly Mercy meal.
- Choir: Make beautiful music! Love to sing or play music? Join the choir, participate in choral concerts, or find other ways to bring your gifts to the church.
4. Become a member of the Church at Ponce and Highland. In our tradition, members make the important decisions, lead, and run the church. Find out more about membership.
